A simple motion.

Can sometimes lead you to interesting images. This is nothing new though. Sometimes it is just nice to move a pen around. As the old saying goes:

"Out from the pen,
A smooth curving line,
If drawn with passion,
Is always divine."


Actually, I made that up.

Might be true.

Carnival

I have decided to try and be more pro-active with my artwork. So here is my piece for the 9X5 exhibition, run every year, by Illustrators Australia. Carnival is the the theme, and nothing says carnival more than the age old masks of Tragedy and Comedy. They are the Yin and the Yang. The Red Nose Vs The White Face. An eternal struggle between order and chaos, for what is fun without the prospect of a little danger?

For some reason big noses are a common feature.

I think we all know why :P
