Spoonerism
Chew chew! All aboard the sushi train! Obake Dave loves it so much that he'd kill you and your entire family just see a blurry poorly composited photo of it! This strip is gonna be a big one. You have been warned :)

Did everyone enjoy the last episode of Dr Who today? Bit of a cliffhanger eh? Anyway. Picture for you. I'm still using Heath's blog as a reference AND I am about a week behind. Oh well...Geronimo! :)

Coo Coo Cah Choo
Look out! Its Cogs the Walrus and his pocket sized friend Eggman! What a wacky (and most likely copyright infringing) couple! :)

The Blind Date
This weeks strip is a bit of an insight into how I view a lot of mens attitudes towards women...and in particular dating...although quite a few women look at men this way too now...so I guess thats fair enough...its certainly fertile ground for humour! :)

Quantum Dave
Suddenly and without warning our ghostly Hero suddenly finds himself thrown back through time into Ancient Japan! :)
What The Butler Saw
And other exciting tales! :)
Have had a very interesting week. Parts of the week have been new and exciting, others pretty normal, and the rest were very very ordinary bordering on heartbreakingly disgusting. Still a new strip has been made. Maybe not the best but it'll do for now. Enjoy.

Smack Cat and Middle Mouse
Here is a fun idea for a cartoon! The original odd couple. A whacked out junkie cat living in the same alley as a straight laced mouse, who works in middle management, for an accountancy firm! Its got Nickelodeon written ALL over it! :)

The O.D.D Winter Collection (Obake Dave Designer)
MONSTER!
Obake Dave on a t-shirt? How delightfully impulsive and stupidly premature! I'll buy 10....I need new dish rags anyway.

Kids In The Hall
Well now! This is an AWFULLY late/early time of day for a post! Tsk tsk.
THE NEWS IN BRIEFS: I turned 30 on Tuesday. It was pretty fun. The film I am working on is going very well and should be done by May. I have a few paid jobs on, which is nice, and last but not all...a new EPIC Obake Dave strip.
This strip comes courtesy of Luke "I never met a game I didn't like (except Oblivion)" Coghill! He stars, as per his own request, as a rather rotund walrus. I hope he doesn't sue. Thanks Luke for the basic storyline!
Also a cameo appearance is made by one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet, Michael "I can't believe it's not chicken!" Hall. He's the penguin. Apologies to the Hall family in advance.
This one is in three parts, so I suggest you go get a snack! :)

Making It All Up As You Go Along otherwise know as: MIAUAYGA
Thats right! It is MIAUAYGA* TIME!
I posted this on Facebook but I got no response as the people on there suck! You guys reading this blogg. U iz da hardcorz!
Here is an image I drew. Basically you draw a realistic object and then draw its cartoon counterpart based on the shape. Its easy, fun and can in some way help your hand eye and creative thinking skills.
Have a go, there is no time limit or wrong answer :)

In Loo Of Toilet Humor
Haha! Funny stuff. O.k down to business.
I got inside a long metal tube today and it was flung far into the air, where it proceeded to hurtle through space (and time) and then come down relatively softly in a far off steamy land. Hot and moist, it is the perfect kind of place to start a gurillea war campaign, or as the locals here have done, open organic health food shops :)
Yes I am in Byron Bay (Mullumbimby to be precise) and as I was drinking my Super Green and eating my wholemeal avocado and cucumber roll, I discovered I was kinda happy. Happy certainly to be here now with good friends, but also just happy to be in this place at this time.
There must be something else in the Super Green besides celery and lettuce.
Work on the new film is back underway. All is well. Lost to do and re-do, and then re-doodoo but hopefully at the end we should have a damn good little short, worthy of international film circuits and certain types of inner city bars :)
No new images other than this. An illustration of a pipe cleaner. This guy look familiar to anyone else?

The School Of Round is now open!
O.k! After a few attempts at posting things up on DeviantArt and Facebook I have decided to move to a blog(double g). Hopefully this will meet with some more success than the previous :)
So what IS The School Of Round I hear you read?
The School Of Round is basically a blogg that I will try (and just like EVERY other person who has started a blogg will get distracted and fail at) to keep updated with illustrations and ideas! I will try and keep a weekly strip going too, and these may have off shoots, if any of them work. Ultimately however The School Of Round (tm) will be a place for me to scream, wild eyed and drooling, into the howling void otherwise known as the "Internet" and strain my ears in the hopes of any kind of echo.
The first post I make will be The Tentatively Titled Weekly Adventures of Obake Dave! Once again I can hear your dull eyes scroll across your illuminated screen, and a small voice in the middle of your brain is saying "who IS Obake Dave?" Well guess what, I'm not here to sit an oral exam! I'm here to blogg! Your questions will have to wait till the end of the seminar. So read the strip and then you can tell ME what the strip is all about! Deal?
So anyway, in answer to your thought, Obake Dave is a strip based upon real life people, who unlike their comic counterparts, are not dead, but are real live oxygen breathing humanoids, who wear novelty t-shirts, have jobs, and are quite nice to go down the pub with. Its also about ghosts.
Please don't let this deter you from reading the strip. Its got nice round funny pictures! :)
